LEGAL NOTICE PUBLIC HEARING
FROM DOUGLAS COUNTY BOARD
Notice is hereby given that the Douglas County Board will hold a public hearing regarding Public Transportation on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Arcola City Hall council room at 114 N. Locust Street, Arcola, IL 61910.
This public hearing is to obtain public comment so that the members of the Douglas County Board can consider the economic, social and environmental effects and hear the comments and needs for public transportation from those who live, work and travel in Douglas County, Illinois.
Anyone who wishes to share their thoughts on the current contracted provider for Douglas County, Dial-A-Ride, should plan to attend this meeting or should submit their comments to Bill Wagoner at the Arcola City Hall Locust Street address listed above. Questions can be directed to Wagoner at his office phone number: 217-268-4695.
Anyone who wants to submit a request for additional services, times, or types of public transportation for Douglas County should plan to attend this meeting or should submit requests to Bill Wagoner at the city hall address.
All information submitted will be helpful. If you can attend this hearing, please do so. If you cannot attend in person, please share your personal and professional experiences so that the Douglas County Board has an accurate understanding of public need and current services offered.
The purpose of this hearing is to obtain public comment and consider the effects of the application for Public Transportation Financial Assistance under Section 5311 of the Federal Transit Act of 1991 as amended (49 U.S. C. 5311). The purpose of the assistance is to continue to provide a demand response transportation service for Douglas County. All interested persons may attend and be heard.
