What is the Douglas County Health Center?

Made possible by Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) competitive grant funding, the DoCo Health Center continues to expand in the scope of services provided with diligent providers passionate about helping populations in need of services including primary care, acute medical care, medication assisted treatment (opioid addiction), medical cannabis card applicants, communicable disease testing and treatment, mental health support, individual counseling, group therapy, and so much more! After DoCo Health Center received official notification of certification from IDPH, the staff has continued to successfully bring affordable, accessible services to students of Douglas County school districts and their household members.

DCHC is located at 1250 E US HWY 36, Tuscola, Illinois 61953 within the rural DCHD building. DCHC’s hours are posted on the homepage of www.dchealthil.org. All clients/patients are served regardless of ability to pay following grant requirements for continued funding. Medicaid and many private insurances will be accepted, and a sliding fee scale based on income will be utilized. DCHC is fortunate to include an advisory board composed of educators, community members, health department employees, and individuals employed by Douglas County in various roles.

DCHC leadership is always looking for more training for their providers that may benefit the populations served. Thank you for learning about our growing healthcare opportunity to expand our reach into specific Douglas County populations.
